Introduction

The class covers the fifth grade of the ISTD curriculum.  Students have the option to enter for dance examinations at teacher’s discretion.

Objectives of this grade:

  • Develop the range of movement within the students’ natural capabilities
  • Building sound technique
  • Understanding and use of dance terminology
  • Gain a good sense of self-expression
  • Encourage creative movement
  • Promote self-confidence in the performance of a solo
